Passado um ano do lançamento do MBS Pro 97 - Dylan Warren, o próprio lança um video com suas impressões sobre seu board.
Em resumo, praticamente a mesma coisa que pudemos sentir sobre o board:
- O novo MBS Truck responde rápido, melhorou a performance nas curvas e acomoda melhor nos rails e corrimões.
- O novo MBS Deck com concave tem menos área de atrito nos boardslides, assim com não toca as bordas nas superfícies, não importa a forma como você aterrissa nelas. Ele também está bem firme e resistente.
- BeeJo deu sua opinião no video sobre as MBS F5 Bindings, bem satisfeito, ele comparou seu conforto ao de suas snowboard bindings e também destacou a nova catraca como sendo mais resistente e de fácil manuseio, para ele que usa MBS Heel Straps, achou elas mais práticas de destrancar e liberar o pé mais rápido.
- Em se tratando de MBS Heel Straps, a MBS lançou a poucas semanas a nova versão, os MBS F5 Pro Heel Straps, que, segundo Dylan Warren, são tão confortáveis quanto as F5 Bindings, já que seguem o mesmo design e composição, são mais resistentes do que o modelo anterior e mais práticas também, já que utilizam as novas catracas MBS F5 em um dos lados.

Enfim, ainda não utilizei as novas MBS F5 Pro Heel Straps, mas o restante dos equipamentos MBS estou usando desde o início do ano e tive as mesmas impressões. Estou muito satisfeito com o resultado.

Melhores representantes que estes atualmente não há, ou melhor, se tem são poucos, mas o Lucas e o Matheus arregaçaram as mangas e correram atrás, Lucas recentemente ganhou a promoção mundial da MBS com seu Promo Video, venceu as 03 últimas edições da Foto mais Irada do ATB Brasil promovida pela Enjoy The Ride, tendo vários cliques sido feito pelo Matheus, sem falar que são Botelho, gente cara do bem e super positivos! Ou seja, reúnem todos os atributos para ganharem o mundo com suas paixões, o esporte e as imagens! E que com eles venham outros brasileiros, novos, adormecidos, decepcionados, desencorajados, mas com tanto talento e garra quanto, como bem sabemos! Dale Lucas Melo e Matheus Botelho, abram de novo essa porta que o Tony Dogga, o Betão Sabino e a Laís Marimoto já meteram o pé!

Trilhas do Olimpo - "Oi Galera!! Estamos aqui para concretizar um sonho!!! O sonho que todo atleta tem, como meta, no esporte! Participar de um Campeonato Internacional... Esse sonho só foi possível, através de uma carta convite da IMA para a participação do Atleta ao “World Boardercross Championship 2016”, única forma de poder se inscrever!! Além do convite, eles estão colaborando com a passagem dele para Sérvia, local do evento!! Junto com o Lucas, está indo o fotógrafo, seu irmão, que vai fazer toda cobertura do evento e, claro, do Lucas!! Já temos as passagens e hospedagem, mas ainda falta verba para os gastos gerais de transporte e alimentação... Por isso Trilhas do Olimpo E Pump Track, estão fazendo esta campanha!!

This isn’t your typical competition, we’re
doing it up NW style challenging you in some fun and diverse ways! A truly
trail / feature inspired “King of the Mountain” style competition barking at
the soul of our favorite sport. It will be super fun and friendly and open to
anyone who wants to come out and jam. All the info you need is below. It’s our
honor to host this event for Mountainboarding.
We’ll use a total of 5 different trails to compete on:
Trails:
1)2 HI - *challenger run - whole trail* A single-line trail with hard
switch-backs and a table top at the end. This trail starts behind the kids’ run
and spits out at the same spot as the Voodoo trail does. Riders will be judged
primarily on their time running the trail.
2)DEUCES WILD – *whole trail* a two lane downhill
rollercoaster run that we’ll have head-to-head races on. Competitors will race
the entire trail and be judged on who comes in first at the finish. The trail
spits out right in the Central Clearing.
3)HLC LINE – *challenger run - top section features only* This run is a series
of features at the top section of the trail which will be judged. It’s start is
at the other end of the Central Clearing from where Deuces spits out.
Competitors will be judged on three features in quick rapid-fire succession: a
bridge-drop drop in onto the trail, a hop onto what we call “The Whale Tail”
which is a wide platform with a step-down, then you’re shooting fast into a
serious S-turn first Left then Right.
4)VOODOO - *challenger run(s) - two separate sections* We’ll use the upper
section and also, but independently, the lower section.
a. The upper part has plank-bridge
drops to riders will ride off, land downhill, and go back up right into a
step-up jump where you stop. This part is really compact and in a valley with
great viewing.
b. The lower part basically is
just the rest of the trail beyond the point where you stop after the step-up.
So, there’s a plank bridge to downhill drop, some berms and rollers, then you
come to a wall-ride and then into 3 table-tops.
5)LUNA LINE - *KIDS TRAIL* This is the trail the kids
will compete on. It is a short stretch and has simple table tops and rollers
which kids can totally go for. It has a wood plank start with no drop and it
spits you out right into the clearing. If you enter the clearing from the truck
path or just ended from Deuces Wild you’ll turn to the left and find it.
Divisions
Little Ripper Division: will compete only on the Luna Line and there will be a first,
second and third place overall. (Designed with Kids 12 and under in mind)
Shredder Division:will compete in their
Head-to-head racing on Deuces Wild and then Pick their favorite out of the 4
challenger runs to be participate in and be judged on. There will be 1st,
2nd, and 3rd place. (Designed to accommodate those of
lesser experience – riders’ choice / judges discretion)
Sasquatch Division: will compete in their Head-to-head races on Deuces Wild and then
pick 2 Challenger runs. The winners will get: Sweepstakes for 3rd,
Grand Sweepstakes for 2nd and the winner is The King. (Guys, Gals,
Pro’s, Legends…whoever’s down)
The plan
Check in is at 10am at the Shred Life table
in the Central Clearing and the racing will start between 10:30 and 11. Mountainboards
NW will have extra boards and safety gear to loan to competitors as needed at
the Shred Life table. If you have no board it’s no biggie. We will start the
competition with the Head-to-head races which is an automatic must-enter for
everyone except the kids, then we’ll run the kids’ runs where they’ll be judged
on all facets in solo runs, competitors from Shredder and Sasquatch Divisions
can chill and watch and then move on to all of the Challenger runs afterward. Here’s
what the Judges will be thinking while they do their stuff: How high can you
ride the wall? How fast are your corners? You got the nastiest grabs? Can you
clear your fear? Stuff like that. Judges will be evaluating your Speed, style,
clarity, amplitude and fun level to determine who the winners will be and who will
take the title as “King of the Mountain.”
All competitors are required to wear a helmet
and follow the other IMA guidelines for this event… but, most importantly, have
fun and enjoy the ride!
